In a significant move towards nurturing future textile talents, India’s The Yarn Bazaar (TYB) has joined forces with DKTE’s Textile and Engineering Institute (DKTE), an Empowered Autonomous Institute, through a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The historic agreement was inked by professor Dr LS Admuthe, I/C director of DKTE, and Pratik Gadia, founder and CEO of TYB.
The collaboration marks a pivotal step in ensuring that DKTE’s textile engineering students are provided with exceptional internship opportunities, fostering their growth and development in the dynamic field of textiles.
The MoU, also witnessed by professor Dr SU Awade, honorary secretary of DKTE Society, professor Dr UJ Patil deputy director and HOD Textiles, professor Dr SB Mhetre, professor Dr VK Dhange, and SB Akiwate, training and placement officer – textiles, signifies a commitment to collaborative innovation and skill enhancement in the textile sector, DKTE said in a LinkedIn post. Under this MoU, TYB will extend comprehensive support to textile students for both winter and summer internships.
This initiative is part of a broader vision to establish similar collaborations with other textile institutes, further expanding the horizon of opportunities for budding textile professionals.
