New Delhi Appears Like a ‘Ghost City’

New Delhi turned into a ‘ghost city’ on Friday (8/9) when G20 leaders began arriving in the Indian capital to attend the G20 Summit.

Closures were imposed on a number of roads in the capital, shops, and New Delhi’s administrative and business centers.

Tens of thousands of military and police personnel were deployed across New Delhi to increase security.

Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, hopes that the meeting which will take place on 9-10 September 2023 will show his country as a great power.

The G20 Summit will discuss a number of important issues such as the Russia-Ukraine war which has an impact on food security and climate change.
