Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Box Office Collection Day 6: Salman Khan Film Sees Midweek Dip, Approaches Rs 140 Crore Worldwide

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan box office collection Day 6: Salman Khan’s family entertainer has done decent business till now, but it’s underperforming by Salman standards.

Salman Khan-starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is said to have earned around Rs 5 crore on day six of its release, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. This takes the film’s nett domestic total to somewhere around Rs 87 crore, which, although a decent figure, is still a poor collection for a Salman Khan release on Eid. Its global gross was Rs 134 crore at last count.

This means that the feature won’t be able to hit the Rs 100 crore mark domestically within a week, and is now aiming for a Rs 95 crore finish instead.

Despite not performing as a Bhai vehicle should, especially on a festive occasion (Its first-day figure was only Rs 15 crore), the Veeram remake still happens to be one of the few successful Hindi movies of 2023; the other two being Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, and Shah Rukh Khan actioner Pathaan, in which Salman had an extended cameo.

Of course, it seems impossible that KKBKKJ could manage to come close to Pathaan’s collection, but it still can give a decent chase to Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’s Rs 147 crore domestic tally.

Billed as a family entertainer, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is also features Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Bhumika Chawla, Palak Tiwari, Raghav Juyal, Shehnaaz Gill among others.

While the film may have managed to stay afloat at the box office thanks to Salman’s star power, it did not impress critics. The Indian Express’ Shubhra Gupta called it ‘unimaginative’ and wrote in a section of her review, “The last time a Salman Khan film had Bhaijaan in the title, its prefix was ‘Bajrangi’, and that solid Kabir Khan film had, verily, a story. This Bhaijaan is running on empty.”
