Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) launched the new Hyundai i20 car for the Indian domestic market. This car is marketed at prices starting from 699,490 Rupees or around Rp. 129 million to the most expensive 11.01 Rupees or equivalent to Rp. 203 million.
The All New Hyundai i20 comes with a number of updates to the exterior and interior, including additional features. This new car is said to be targeting the youth segment in urban areas.
“We have firm confidence that the new Hyundai i20 will not only raise customer aspirations, but also be in line with the ambitions of young Indian buyers,” said Hyundai Motor India Ltd. Chief Operating Officer (COO), Tarun Garg, quoted on the Gaadiwaadi page today, Monday, September 11 2023.
Talking about specifications, the Hyundai i20 is equipped with the latest safety technology such as six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), three-point seat belts and seat belt reminders for all seats. There are more than 40 new safety features recorded on the i20, with 26 of them being standard features.
Appearance-wise, the i20 sports an updated parametric grille, paired with new LED headlamps and prominent LED DRLs. The front and rear bumpers are also updated, new 16-inch alloy wheels are used, and the rear view is also revised.
Entering the interior, the Hyundai i20 displays two theme colors, namely gray and black. The seats feature a semi-leather design, faux leather lining on the door armrests, a new D-cut steering wheel, 7-speaker Bose audio and a USB Type-C charger.
From the engine sector, the i20 has a 1.2 liter Kappa petrol engine mated to a choice of five-speed manual transmission or six-speed IVT. This engine configuration is capable of producing 84 PS of power and 113.8 Nm of torque.
The Hyundai i20 is available in new Amazon Grey, Atlas White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, Fiery Red, Atlas White with black roof and Fiery Red with black roof.
